First Baptist Church of Waynesville began its Child Development Center (CDC) on September 2, 1997. The CDC offers a preschool and a childcare program that gives children ages six weeks to six years the opportunity to grow and learn in an atmosphere of Christian love.

Mission Statement

It is our belief that children are special blessings from God. It is our privilege to provide a safe and nurturing environment for each child for the hours during which he or she is entrusted to our care. It is our mission to teach children about the love of God and the saving grace extended to us through Jesus Christ, to serve as an outreach to unsaved and unchurched families in our community, to provide a support system for working families, and to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for each child.
