You can do so by putting your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and following Him. The following prayer is a guide:
"Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me. I believe that you died for my sins on the cross, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven. Please forgive me for my sins and come into my heart through the Holy Spirit. I give myself to you, and follow you from this day forth. Amen."
All candidates for membership must attend the new member's class. The next class is scheduled for Sunday, March 9 at 4:00 pm in the Large Conference Room. You may join the church in one of the following ways:
- By confessing your faith in Christ and being baptized. If you've never followed Christ or been a member of a church, you can follow Christ as his disciple and be baptized.
- By transferring your membership from another Baptist church. If you're a member of another Baptist church, you can request that your membership be transferred to our church. Just let us know where your membership is currently, and we'll write a letter to that church and request your transfer.
- By statement of your faith. If you've been a member of a Baptist church in the past, nut you can't remember where, or if the church no longer exists, you can join by stating your faith in Christ and your prior affiliation with a Baptist church.
- By coming as a Christian from another denomination. If you've been a Christian in another denomination and would like to join, we will counsel with you in relation to our beliefs about being a Christian and being baptized.
- By watchcare. If you're a part-year resident and would like to be affiliated with this church, but you don't want to give up your membership in your home church, you can join by watchcare. This means that you're in our fellowship and under our care, but you don't have voting privileges in our church.
If you wish to commit yourself to joining our church during our service, the time to do so is during the hymn of commitment at the end. As we stand, you can step forward and speak to the pastor. You may also speak to the pastor or any staff member at any time and express your desire to join.
