To Make Disciples, United in Worship and Service

Worship With Us...
God is spirit and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

Worship at First Baptist seeks to fulfill this Scriptural mandate. Our congregation is committed to providing services rooted in Scripture and expressed in singing songs of the faith, proclamation of God’s word, and presenting ourselves as living sacrifices ready for God’s service.

Sunday Services:

8:30 a.m. - Chapel - This service is our more traditional service. Singing is accompanied by piano and organ and songs are selected from Classic Hymns and Gospel Songs. Free childcare is provided upon request.

11:00 a.m. - Sanctuary - This service represents the variety of musical gifts within our congregation. Music is chosen from a wide variety of styles including Classic Hymns, Gospel Songs, Contemporary Music, and Appalachian Sacred Music. Singing is accompanied by piano, organ, instrumental ensemble, and rhythm section. Worship leadership is provided by our Sanctuary Choir and other choral ensembles.  Nursery is provided for this service. Preschool and children in grades 1-5 join the congregation for the beginning of worship and then go to Primary Worship and Children’s Church prior to the message time in the service.

6:00 p.m. - Evening Worship Service in the Chapel.
